Mr Krishna Menon is a leading consultant liver transplant and hepatopancreatobiliary surgeon based in London. He has a specialist interest in laparoscopic major liver resection (hepatectomy), liver cancer, laparoscopic major pancreatic resection (pancreatectomy), pancreatic cancer and liver transplantation. An expert in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for the pancreas, liver, and removal of the gallbladder, he privately practises at Cleveland Clinic London Rapid Access Gallbladder Unit. 

Mr Menon was appointed to King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2013. Previously, Mr Menon was a consultant transplant and hepatopancreatobiliary surgeon between 2002 to 2012 at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Over the years as a consultant at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and currently at King's, he has been instrumental in developing techniques in liver transplantation and HPB.

Mr Menon's major clinical interests are in laparoscopic (keyhole) cholecystectomy, hepatectomy (liver resections) and pancreatic resections (Whipple's and distal pancreatectomies). His research interests are in pancreatic cancer, clinical trials and the development of novel technology in cancer and laparoscopic surgery, and his work has been published in over 120 peer reviewed publications. Furthermore, it's been published in over 300 presentations at national, European and international meetings.  

Mr Menon is a respected leader, and is currently in the second term of his presidency of the British Transplantation Society (BTS) (2023 - 2025) and the former president of the Great Britain Chapter of the International HPB Association (GBIHPBA).

In 2016, he founded the first clinical TMS in the NHS in London and South England at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and to this day, continues to lead this service.

In regards to his education, Dr Abdelghani completed his post-graduate psychiatric training at South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM); a centre of excellence and one of the most influential mental health organizations in the world. Here he worked alongside some of the most prominent professors and clinicians in the field. In 2009, he became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and in 2012 he obtained MSc in clinical neuroscience from King’s College London.

Dr Abdelghani was the first British doctor to be elected as a director of the Clinical TMS Society. He was then re-elected in 2020. Additionally, he was the first person from outside North America to be elected to the Executive Committee of the Clinical TMS Society when he was voted to become Secretary of the Society. He later received the Clinical TMS Society President’s Award for his dedication, collaboration, efforts and leadership.

Besides his TMS work, Dr Abdelghani is a faculty member of the PULSES TMS training course and a lead consultant psychiatrist for the Adult ADHD Service at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Jonathan Walczak is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon, with private clinics at BMI Chelsfield Park Hospital, BMI The Sloane Hospital, BMI Shirley Oaks and KIMS Hospital in Kent. Mr Walczak specialises in hip and knee replacements, keyhole knee surgery, sports injuries, anterior cruciate ligament repair and bursitis. He is also experienced in the management of knee arthritis. Mr Walczak trained at Guy's Hospital Medical School from 1981-1987. His postgraduate training included a specialist training fellowship in hip surgery. He has held the post of consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at Bromley NHS Trust since 1999 and is now employed by Kings College NHS Trust, working at Farnborough, Beckenham and Orpington Hospitals.

His special interests are lower limb joint replacement including minimal access hip and knee replacements. He has developed a minimal access approach to the hip which has been used in over 1000 cases of hip replacement. The use of this approach has drastically reduced the need for blood transfusions in hip replacement surgery to less than 1 in 8 patients.

Mr Walczak is keen to treat both his private and NHS patients promptly with a very patient-focused approach. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association.
